Wee Tutor Group Tutoring
GOALS OF WEE TUTORING
The goals of Wee Tutoring are:
- To promote and support active and independent
- To develop a positive approach to
- To aid in developing higher academic competence and student
- To create an encouraging environment where learning takes place online at the student’s place.
CLASS SIZE
In order to provide effective Group Tutoring, each class will maintain a maximum of four students per tutor. The class will be organized and scheduled once a minimum of two students enrolls by the start date. Once the class begins, Wee Lions is fully committed to delivering all 12 tutoring sessions as outlined in this Agreement.
REGISTRATION AND TUTORING FEES
Membership fee: $20.00 payable upon registration, and non-refundable.
Tutoring Fee: $200.00 payable before the start of the first session.
LEARNING MATERIALS
Learning materials are provided through the Wee Lions Membership. These learning materials are designed specifically for the course, and they include Wee Lions Storybooks, Wee Explorer learning activities, practice worksheets, and other licensed educational resources such as videos, songs, and learning aids.
If there are any specific supplies needed for hands-on activities or scientific inquiry projects, such as crayons, colored pencils, or paper, the Wee Tutor will inform parents at the beginning of the course. Our aim is to use materials and supplies that are readily available in your home, making it convenient for your child to participate in the activities.
SESSIONS AND TIME
Total sessions: 12 sessions (3 sessions per week)
Time: 30 minutes per session
The schedule for the sessions are fixed based on the schedule released on the program info page.
STUDENT AND THEIR PARENT’S RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Student’s Parent, we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring a smooth Wee Tutoring experience for your child. Please take note of the following expectations:
- Ensure your child attends the scheduled Wee Tutoring sessions punctually.
- Sign into the Wee Tutoring session promptly and ensure your child is prepared with all necessary activity materials such as crayons, playdoh, paper, worksheets, and any other materials specified for scheduled activity projects. This includes cutting any construction paper if needed.
- Prepare for each Wee Tutoring session by reviewing the Wee Explorer’s activities that will be covered. Familiarize yourself with the topics and materials to enhance your child’s learning experience.
Your cooperation in fulfilling these expectations will contribute to the success of the Wee Tutoring sessions and your child’s overall learning progress.
WEE TUTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Wee Lions Tutor will fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Conduct a conference with the Student’s Parent to collaboratively set learning goals and objectives for the Wee Tutoring sessions.
- Design and plan lessons that align with the agreed-upon goals and objectives.
- Arrange a conference with the Student’s Parent at the mid-point and end of each month to discuss the student’s progress, address any concerns, and provide updates on their learning journey.
- Confirm the schedule for the following month’s Wee Tutoring sessions before the current month’s sessions conclude, ensuring clear communication and planning.
- In the event of a student’s lateness, promptly email the Student’s Parent after the first five (5) minutes. If the student has not arrived within fifteen (15) minutes, mark them as a late cancel or no-show and notify the office accordingly.
OBSERVATION AND EVALUATION
The Wee Tutor is committed to fostering effective communication, goal-oriented teaching, and ensuring a successful Wee Tutoring experience for both the student and their Student’s Parent. Throughout the duration of the course, the Wee Tutor will actively observe the student’s progress in various areas of development, encompassing learning approaches, social-emotional skills, cognitive and motor development, as well as language abilities.
Based on these observations, the Wee Tutor will compile relevant data on the student’s performance. This information will be shared with the Student’s Parent to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of their child’s strengths and challenges. Additionally, the Wee Tutor will collaborate with the Student’s Parent to develop a strategic plan aimed at supporting the child’s progress. This plan will serve as a valuable resource for the Student’s Parent to work in tandem with the Wee Tutor and effectively aid their child’s development.
By conducting thorough observations and evaluations, the Wee Tutor strives to facilitate open communication, personalized teaching strategies, and overall growth and success for the student under their guidance.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
The student is expected to attend all scheduled class sessions. No makeup classes will be provided for student absences or late attendance.
REFUND POLICY
Wee Tutoring strives to provide a satisfying tutoring experience for all participants. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with Wee Tutoring, please notify us within 24 hours of the last class session. We will make every effort to address your concerns and resolve any issues. If we are unable to find a satisfactory resolution, you have the option to request cancellation of the program and this Agreement by filling out the “Request to Drop Form” on the Wee Tutor Portal or by contacting Wee Lions via email. We will then proceed with the following refund policy:
After the 1st session and before the 2nd session: 100% refund of tuition paid.
After the 2nd session and before the 4th session: 75% refund of tuition paid.
After the 4th session and before the 6th session: 50% refund of tuition paid.
After the 6th session: No refund.
Please note that absence from class alone does not constitute a “Request to Drop.”
In the event of cancellation and dropping from the program, the membership fee is non-refundable. However, you will receive one month of access to the related Wee Lions storybook and Wee Explorer learning resources.
Kindly note that all refunds will be issued using the same form of payment used for the original transaction.
WEE TUTOR CANCELLATION
In the event of an emergency where the Wee Tutor is unable to conduct a scheduled session, the Wee Tutor will promptly notify both the student or the Student’s Parent and the Wee Lions Portal. This notification should include the cancellation of the session and arrangements for rescheduling the Wee Tutoring session.
REFUND POLICY
We strive to provide a satisfying Wee Tutoring experience for all students. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with a Wee Tutoring session, please inform us within 24 hours of the session. We will make every effort to address any concerns or issues you may have. If we are unable to resolve the matter to your satisfaction, we will offer you a full refund for the session.
In the case where you have already completed one or more sessions within a package, we reserve the right to prorate the refund based on the number of sessions already completed. Please note that the membership fee for the month is non-refundable. However, you will still keep your access to the Wee Lions online learning resources for the entire month.
If a Wee Tutor is unable to attend a scheduled session due to illness or an emergency, we will collaborate with you to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide you with a full refund for the missed session.
Kindly note that all refunds will be issued using the same form of payment used for the original transaction.
